The Tall Ships Races
Aim of The Tall Ships Races
To enable young people of all nations to race together at sea under sail, and to face together in friendship and competition the challenges presented by the races and the associated events and, in addition, to promote the Objects of Sail Training International.
Partnership
Wherever the Tall Ships Race fleet meets, the organisation is shared between:
- Sail Training International; and
- The City or Port represented by the Port Committee.
Our port is Greenock, the largest town in the local authority area of Inverclyde and the Port Committee works on behalf of the charity Sail Inverclyde Limited.
